Shared Commitment

The New Testament outlines numerous “one anothers” that we should practice as members of God’s family. Being a part of the Embassy family means that we practice these “one anothers” and even more specifically, we hold four shared commitments: to GATHER regularly, LIVE authentically, SERVE sacrificially and GIVE generously.

God doesn't have “only” children. As Christians, we are adopted into God's family so we should make it a regular practice to gather with our spiritual siblings and encourage one another in the hope of the gospel. Our Sunday gathering is the primary environment where we do this.

A spiritual family is God's gift of community to help us live authentic lives. it is too easy to live duplicitous lives apart from relationships where we are truly known by others. We need one another to help us follow Jesus faithfully and apply the gospel to our hearts continually. Our Groups are designed to create environments to help us do this. Find more about our Groups here.

Jesus came, not to be served, but to serve; so we are never more like him than when we serve, too. Serving through a Serve Team provides us with a way to use our unique interests, gifts and skills to strengthen our church and to bless our city. Learn more about our Serve Teams here.

For God so loved the world he gave, so the gospel at its core is about generosity. Christians are recipients of incredible generosity from God which frees us to be incredibly generous back to him and to others. Giving our first and best, rather than our last and least, is possible because we know we have been given so much, and it is our way of saying "thank you".
